#TreatYoSelf Part 2: 6 Of My Favorite Things

I loved creating this post so much that I’m making it a monthly occurrence here on Sixth Sense Style. I put together another list of my current favorite things that you need to add to your cart right now.

  1. Laneige Hydrating Trial Kit $25*

It’s no secret that serums, oils, and moisturizers can add up, and all I’m trying to do is get my face clean and prevent wrinkles! I was overwhelmed when I walked into Sephora and saw that some skin care brands have a single item for $80+ (*cough*cough* Drunk Elephant) and that’s just not realistic for anyone trying to up their skincare game. Instead of buying full-size products that may not agree with my skin, I opted for a trial-sized kit to see what I love and what I can live without. I bought the Laneige Hydrating kit a little over a month ago and I’m about halfway through the products. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin so far — highly recommend! 🌟

2. Ban.do Rough Draft Mini Notebook $12*

I. FREAKING. LOVE. ADORABLE. STATIONARY. Do I need another notebook? The answer is obviously no, but I really couldn’t say no. I love the message, the color, the spiral for easy writing. It’s everything I wanted and more.

3. Ban.do Get It Together Pouch $14*

This one goes hand in hand with favorite number 2. I had been on the hunt for a cute pencil case for a while now, and I couldn’t find a cute one ANYWHERE until Ban.do came in and saved my life — I’ll admit that was dramatic, but I’m serious when I say I fell in love. This little gal holds all of my colored gel pens neatly in my purse and looks oh-so-cute next to my Ban.do notebook!

4. Simple Modern 24 oz. Classic Tumbler $20.99*

I’m currently in the process of quitting my toxic relationship with Diet Coke which means I’ve been drinking stupid amounts of Crystal Lite in its place. There’s n o t h i n g worse than lukewarm Crystal Lite, so I upgraded my lame plastic tumbler to this insulated pink tumbler*! It comes with a lid and straw or a hot lid option. Get yourself a girl that can do both.

*basically a Hydroflask knockoff if we’re being honest

This is a bonus favorite: I mainly use the cold lid with straw and it’s impossible to properly wash the straw without one of these bad boys. I bought this 4 pack for $4.99. It’s a game changer, and Lord only knows what kind of leftover gunk is sitting in my other reusable straws!

5. Audiobook: Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis*

I’ll be honest, I saw people going nuts over this book and I was not into the hype. The title confused me, and I already know how to wash my face (see favorite 1) so I ignored it. It was when I discovered Rachel Hollis’ podcast that I found I really like her approach to self-help. I decided to give the book a try after I signed up for Audible’s free trial. I blew through the audiobook and immediately hit replay to listen to the book again because it literally shook me in the best way. If you’re ready to get called out on your bullsh*t and make a change, give it a listen!

6. Fujifilm Quicksnap Disposable 35mm Camera 2 Pack $13.94*

I found this as I was perusing UO for stocking stuffers back in December. At UO these run $15 for one disposable camera. I decided to check Amazon and I found this 2 pack for $13.94 and immediately ordered. We brought these on our trip to Disney and plan to take them on our trip to NY next week. I can’t wait to develop our film, but until then, I have the “HUJI” app which mimics the effect of a disposable camera on your phone!

I’ve officially become a “lady of a certain age” and I’m fighting every wrinkle like a warrior but I had the same reaction to * cough, cough, drunk elephant*. Even though everyone swears by it, I kind of like being able to eat food, drink coffee and spoil my dog, so that was off my Sephora list for sure. I am head over heals for anything Laneige! I love their line. Oh and a little hint, if you ever need a little more protection for your “pucker power”, try their lip sleeping mask. It’s heavenly! (And you should have seen me trying to explain to my better half what a “lip sleeping mask” is. Lol. #NEVERtakeyoursweetietoSephora!!
